I guess you are asking about medical hair restoration vs. hair transplant in your condition. If so, it needs to be evaluated by a hair transplant surgeon through microscopic miniaturization study. If your hair loss is limited to your crown area and you have significant miniaturization in the area, then you might be a good candidate for medical treatment with finasteride or minoxidil. You may be able to see drastic changes within a year. However if your hair loss is completed and you don't have much miniaturized hair on the crown area, medical treatment of hair loss is not going to help you much and I recommend hair transplantation assuming that you have healthy donor hair.
