Parsa Mohebi, M.D., is a hair transplant surgeon and the medical director of US Hair Restoration (USHR). By using a modern medical approach and advanced surgical techniques, one of Dr. Mohebi’s goals is to reestablish a patient’s self-image and self-esteem. Dr. Mohebi and his experienced staff are highly committed to using proven techniques and the most technologically advanced devices.

Wanting the best outcome for his patients, and to ensure complete satisfaction, Dr. Mohebi is personally involved in all stages of patient care. Although Dr. Mohebi works around the clock as an hair transplant doctor in Los Angeles and other cities in Southern California, he also takes the time to collaborate with many academic centers on studies concerning hair growth, gene therapy techniques, and hair multiplications.

Dr. Mohebi completed his internship at the University of North Dakota, followed by surgical residency at the University of New Mexico and York Hospital.

After completing his initial medical schooling, Dr. Parsa Mohebi pursued an interest in surgical research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Surgical Sciences. At Johns Hopkins, he performed several studies on wound healing and hair growth, using growth factors and gene therapy methods. In addition, Dr. Mohebi completed a fellowship in surgical hair restoration at New Hair Institute (NHI).

Without question, Dr. Mohebi has an overwhelming interest in the research and study of hair growth, hair multiplication, wound healing, and the psychology of hair loss. Dr. Mohebi understands the importance of self-image and knows a full head of hair is able to wonders for a person’s self-confidence and self-esteem.

Presentations and Publications

Every year, Dr. Mohebi publishes insightful studies and, also, across the United States and in other parts of the world, makes presentations to large audiences on hair loss, hair restoration techniques, and wound healing. On a daily basis, he is involved in improving hair restoration surgical methods and using better techniques.

In addition, Dr. Mohebi is the inventor of the Laxometer, a device which measures the mobility of the scalp before a hair transplant procedure. The Laxometer increases a hair transplant surgeon’s accuracy and helps to minimize the widening of scar in a person’s scalp.
